Syrian authorities enforce strict entry regulations concerning any prior travel to Israel or Palestinian self-governed territories. Upon arrival, border officials will deny entry to any traveler whose passport contains evidence of visits to Israel.
This restriction applies not only to Israeli visas or entry stamps but also to stamps from certain border crossings with Israel, even when those crossings are located in neighboring countries such as Jordan or Egypt.
